The ever-popular Cooking School returns this year, thanks to the community-wide generosity of our amazing sponsors and a talented local baking family.
This year the theme is baking, with host Rob Scheitler. Rob and Joyce, of rural Le Mars are well-known for Christmas Acres, a vivid and interactive Christmas light display west of Le Mars, and their baking skills, which provides homemade goodies of all sorts by custom order, through a Christmas Bake Shop and at the Farmers' Market.
They will share their baking story, talk about Christmas Acres, all while providing a baking demonstration. You will enjoy the entertaining evening and can look forward to leaving with new inspiration for your time in the kitchen.
Drawings, Prizes & Giveaways
As if sitting with your friends, at the best county fair around, in the air-conditioning, watching new recipes unfold wasn't enough, 400 gift bags will be distributed to the first 400 families through the door. Recipes, info and goodies have been tucked away in the bags. Some lucky attendees will receive bags that contain a door prize!
